Choir Boys donate $2,527 to injured MCSO posse member

A law-enforcement motorcycle club gave injured posse member Philip Grigg's wife, Elizabeth, a check for a little more than $2,500 on Friday to support his family while Grigg remains hospitalized, four months after he was shot in the stomach while attempting to assist in the Phoenix arrest of a fleeing suspect.

Just days prior to the donation, Sheriff Arpaio deemed that Grigg's was acting as an On-Duty Peace Officer the moment he stepped out of his vehicle to defend the officer who was shot.  Grigg's will be receiving certain benefits associated with on-duty peace officer incidents.
